GVAV Ltd is the UK’s most innovative AV system integrator and specialises in the design and installation of Audio Visual equipment to Education, corporate and industry sectors. We are passionate about providing state-of-the-art Audio Visual experiences for our clients, based from our six branches covering the whole of the country.

We are looking for an experienced Audio Visual Installation Engineer to join one of GV’s most successful branches based here in the South West and South Wales.

This interesting and varied position involves the installation of the very latest AV systems and exciting technologies into establishments within our sales area, working on your own and as part of a team.

You will need to be highly flexible and reliable with a positive attitude, often working to tight deadlines completing prestigious projects and ensuring systems are commissioned and delivered on time, within budget and to a very high standard.

Previous experience in AV 1st and 2nd fix with crimp and solder termination is essential with CAT5/6 and Fibre experience highly desirable. Rack integration, working from design schematics and accreditation's in CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D would be an advantage but not essential as we actively promote an ongoing training and personal development program.

A passion for AV and the desire to work with all members of the team is essential.

Your skills and key characteristics

  • Previous experience highly desirable and a keen interest in technology, particularly AV
  • Excellent communication skills and client focused.
  • Experience in all areas of AV Installation is highly desirable, as are accreditation's in AVIXA/InfoComm CTS General, CTS-I, CTS-D and other industry accreditation's such as CEDIA.
  • Experience or understanding of Control System Programming is desirable
  • A highly detail-oriented approach in all aspects is required.
  • Flexible and adaptable, often working to tight deadlines with occasional additional hours.
  • Active participation in our Technical Working Group for ongoing improvements.
